It is 2020. The world is in lockdown. Michael O’Hare is a 17-year-old boy living in Queensland, struggling with the breakdown of his family. Mike developed a friendship with Con in Victoria via social media, who mentored him in building the four-wheel drive he started working on with his father. But, throughout the lockdown, Mike has felt that the messages from Con have become more helpless. Concerned about his friend, Mike takes it upon himself to travel to Frankston. Aided by plucky mechanics daughter Akina and pursued by a local cop, Mike risks the lockdowns across Australia to stop his friend from “doing something silly”.
